And the Spiritאֱלֹהִיםof Godמְרַחֶפֶתwas hoveringעַלoverפְּנֵיthe faceהַמָּֽיִםof the waters  OHB 1:3ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיְהִי, Let there beאוֹרlightוַֽיְהִי, and there was lightאֽוֹר, and there was light  OHB 1:4ESVוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godאֶת[the]הָאוֹרthat the light, lightכִּיthat the light,טוֹבwas goodוַיַּבְדֵּלseparatedאֱלֹהִים. And Godבֵּיןseparatedהָאוֹר[light]וּבֵיןfromהַחֹֽשֶׁךְthe darkness  OHB 1:5ESVוַיִּקְרָאcalledאֱלֹהִיםGodלָאוֹרthe lightיוֹםDayוְלַחֹשֶׁךְ, and the darknessקָרָאhe calledלָיְלָהNightוַֽיְהִי. And there was eveningעֶרֶב. And there was eveningוַֽיְהִיand there was morningבֹקֶרand there was morningיוֹםdayאֶחָֽד, the firstפ   OHB 1:6ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיְהִי, Let there be an expanseרָקִיעַ, Let there be an expanseבְּתוֹךְin the midstהַמָּיִםof the watersוִיהִי, and let it separateמַבְדִּיל, and let it separateבֵּיןthe watersמַיִםthe watersלָמָֽיִםfrom the waters  OHB 1:7ESVוַיַּעַשׂmadeאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godאֶת[the]הָרָקִיעַthe expanse, expanseוַיַּבְדֵּלand separatedבֵּיןthe watersהַמַּיִםthe watersאֲשֶׁרthatמִתַּחַתwere underלָרָקִיעַthe expanseוּבֵיןfrom the watersהַמַּיִםfrom the watersאֲשֶׁרthatמֵעַלwere aboveלָרָקִיעַ[expanse]וַֽיְהִי. And it was soכֵֽן. And it was so  OHB 1:8ESVוַיִּקְרָאcalledאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godלָֽרָקִיעַthe expanseשָׁמָיִםHeavenוַֽיְהִי. And there was eveningעֶרֶב. And there was eveningוַֽיְהִיand there was morningבֹקֶרand there was morningיוֹםdayשֵׁנִֽי, the secondפ   OHB 1:9ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godיִקָּווּbe gathered togetherהַמַּיִם, Let the watersמִתַּחַתunderהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensאֶלintoמָקוֹםplaceאֶחָדoneוְתֵרָאֶהappearהַיַּבָּשָׁה, and let the dry landוַֽיְהִי. And it was soכֵֽן. And it was so  OHB 1:10ESVוַיִּקְרָאcalledאֱלֹהִיםGodלַיַּבָּשָׁהthe dry landאֶרֶץEarthוּלְמִקְוֵהthat were gathered togetherהַמַּיִם, and the watersקָרָאhe calledיַמִּיםSeasוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִים. And Godכִּיthat it was goodטֽוֹבthat it was good  OHB 1:11ESVוַיֹּאמֶרsaidאֱלֹהִיםAnd Godתַּֽדְשֵׁאsproutהָאָרֶץ, Let the earthדֶּשֶׁאvegetationעֵשֶׂב, plantsמַזְרִיעַyieldingזֶרַעseedעֵץtreesפְּרִי, and fruitעֹשֶׂהbearingפְּרִיfruitלְמִינוֹ, each according to its kindאֲשֶׁרin whichזַרְעוֹis their seedבוֹ עַל, on the earthהָאָרֶץ, on the earthוַֽיְהִי. And it was soכֵֽן. And it was so  OHB 1:12ESVוַתּוֹצֵאbrought forthהָאָרֶץThe earthדֶּשֶׁאvegetationעֵשֶׂב, plantsמַזְרִיעַyieldingזֶרַעseedלְמִינֵהוּaccording to their own kindsוְעֵץ, and treesעֹֽשֶׂהbearingפְּרִיfruitאֲשֶׁרin whichזַרְעוֹis their seedבוֹ לְמִינֵהוּ, each according to its kindוַיַּרְאsawאֱלֹהִים. And let them be for signsלְאֹתֹת.
